Iran and the United States have resumed negotiations after a pause that began around noon local time on Thursday to allow both delegations to consult with their respective capitals. The talks restarted following the return of both sides to the venue at the residence of Oman’s foreign minister in Geneva.
Deputy Foreign Minister for Economic Diplomacy Hamid Ghanbari made the remarks during a meeting of the Council of Heads of Commissions of the Iranian Chamber of Commerce on Sunday.
As nuclear talks resume in Geneva, the central question is no longer whether Iran and the US can reach a deal, but whether Washington is prepared to demonstrate the political will required to restore trust.
