Iran’s ambassador to the United Nations reaffirmed Tehran’s legitimate right to hold accountable the perpetrators, organizers, and sponsors of assassination of top commander Lt. General Qassem Soleimani, who was martyred in a US strike in Iraq in 2020.
Ceremonies have been held across Iran to commemorate the martyrdom anniversary of anti-terror icon Lieutenant General Qassem Soleimani, the commander of the Quds Force of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) who was assassinated by the US in Iraq on January 3, 2020.
The role of General Soleimani in the fight against terrorism was “unique”, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution said on the fifth anniversary of the martyrdom of Lieutenant General Qassem Soleimani.
