Rosatom: Six of Our Employees Have Begun Their Return to the Bushehr Plant
Alexey Likhachev, the CEO of Russia's state-run atomic energy corporation, Rosatom, announced on Friday that the first group of the company's personnel has begun returning to the Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant in Iran.
Likhachev briefed journalists following high-level discussions between Russian delegations and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in Kaliningrad. He stated, "Just a few hours ago, the initial team consisting of six employees departed for the Bushehr nuclear power plant site."
Addressing previous regional tensions, the Rosatom chief explicitly emphasized that the Bushehr facility was never targeted by any military strikes.
He further noted that following the recent escalations, a group of Russian employees from the corporation had been stranded in Tehran. Likhachev concluded by stating that Rosatom will make official decisions within the coming hours regarding the phased return of additional personnel to the Bushehr facility.
