Leader donates 40 billion rials to free needy prisoners
Ayatollah Khamenei donates 40 billion rials for the release of needy prisoners convicted of unintentional crimes.
In the run-up to a fundraiser event, Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei has donated 40 billion rials for the release of needy prisoners convicted of unintentional crimes.
The event is held annually in Iran during the holy month of Ramadan.
Attended by officials and benevolent donors, the event takes place in Tehran and various cities across the country.
On the occasion of this year’s event, Ayatollah Khamenei made the significant donation to support the humanitarian cause. He donated 20 billion rials to the cause last year.
